Ship Life

This is my first cruise on one of these large ships, and I am learning a lot!  There is a whole different culture on here!  I am slowly becoming accustomed to it.

Our room is nice, very small, and a little worn.  We were disappointed in that, but it is relatively clean and  the beds are comfortable.    We have an assigned Stewart, Heri.   And then there is the daily schedule. Since there are close to 2000 people on this ship, everything has to be scheduled.    You have to read the daily schedule or you will be confused, as opening hours vary.     There are several places to eat.   The dining room is the best.    The hours are limited there, so you may have to eat in the cafe, which is a madhouse.

I am having an enjoyable time right now, sitting in the observation area, as we approach our next stop, which is Napier.   We have a short stop today and I am looking forward to getting off.

We hit some rolling swells last nite and this boat is rocking and rolling.   I am in a meclazine haze and probably will be for a while.  I hope I adjust!

The staff change the rugs in the elevator so we know what day it is!
