Climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge

What an interesting and exciting experience!   Flo and I did the "Express" Sydney Bridge Walk, "only" 1002 steps in 90 minutes.    What an experience!    It was scary, exhilarating and fun!  We were so lucky to have a guide to ourselves and to have a beautiful day to do it.  We had to wear gray and blue jumpsuits and we're not allowed to take our cameras or anything else up with us!   We were tethered to a steel cable the whole way up and down.

We actually walked through the structure of the bridge .     We had todo. Some climbing and ducking to keep from hitting our heads.     I took a picture of the photo of the two of us that we received at the end and it is included here.

This bridge was finished in 1932.    It took eight years to build and was built during the depression.  At the time it was built,it was the longest suspension bridge of this style in the world.   There was a huge celebration when the bridge was finished!   The pictures and the story of the bridge are very interesting.    We are so glad we did this!
